A recent introduction to the Atkin family of hand UK crafted guitars is the new and unbelievably impressive solid body electric series. This particular Atkin Electric 68 T Surf Green guitar with double bound light weight Obeche body and “access heel” offers a remarkable blend of character and performance. Its superb perfectly aged Nitro finishing and premium woods work effortlessly with its Atkin Handwound Classic T pickup set. This Atkin 68T guitar has Quartersawn Maple “C” profile neck with rosewood veneer board and Matching Headstock. This is what Mr Atkin has to say about this model. The sixty eight is the deluxe T-style guitar. The body is double bound with aged white binding, sympathetically worn in all the common places, and features a mint green three ply pickguard. The neck is quarter-sawn hard maple with an east Indian rosewood veneer fingerboard and clay dot fret markers. The sixty eight has sharp as a pin styling, generous vintage appointments and that classic sparkling tone, all combining to make an effortlessly stylish guitar.
